The doctors: yoga helps to control blood sugar levels
Yoga is a useful exercise for those suffering from type II diabetes. American scientists analyzed data from 25 studies conducted in different countries, and came to the conclusion that yoga helps to control blood sugar levels.
In addition, yoga reduces the level of oxidative stress, blood pressure, positive effect on lung function, the autonomic nervous system, sleep and quality of life. And regular yoga classes allow people with type II diabetes less likely to take medication.
Meanwhile, the researchers emphasize that further research is needed in this direction. While yoga can’t replace aerobic exercise of moderate intensity recommended for diabetics.
